About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager within our Group Finance function. Your role will be an integral part of our Group Finance team. The role is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for helping to drive the monthly financial reporting process and working collaboratively with the wider Group Financial Control to support the preparation of the Group’s bi-annual financial reports. The role will also be to provide accounting advice and innovative commercial insights to inform investment decision making and performance outcomes for the Group.

As Finance Manager, your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the Group monthly consolidation as well as the preparation of the Group’s bi-annual financial reporting package, including analysis of key contributors and movements in the Group’s financial results.

  • Providing technical accounting guidance and commercial solutions regarding the structuring of major capital transactions, review investment pipeline submissions, assist segments on ad hoc technical accounting issues arising throughout the year, preparation of technical accounting papers and Board reporting on key financial reporting matters.

  • Proactively engaging to ensure effective relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business to facilitate the Group consolidation process, as well as the deals / transaction process.

  • Reviewing all accounting standard amendments, exposure drafts and interpretations to determine accounting impacts to the Group. The role would also work with the businesses to implement new standards to ensure consistency of application and update accounting policies accordingly.

  • Contributing to successful implementation of finance transformation initiatives.

About You:

  • CA/CPA qualified with at least 8+ years’ experience.

  • Strong proven technical accounting knowledge in AASBs and IFRS, specifically around consolidation / “control”, joint venture, and revenue recognition accounting principles.

  • An understanding of the Investment Management, Property Development, and/or Construction industries will be highly regarded.

  • Illustrate confidence and excellent communication and people skills with proven ability to interact with senior finance persons.

  • Strong written skills with ability to write technical accounting papers clearly and concisely and in language appropriate for presentation to Board of Directors, auditors and the regional finance teams.

  • Strong influencing and partnership skills.
