We are looking for a Finance Manager, Reporting & Oracle EPM Systems to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Director of Finance and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.
Role Summary
The Finance Manager, Reporting & Oracle EPM Systems reporting to Director, Finance will play a critical role in enabling decision‑making at Bloom Energy by owning weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting packages, serving as a hands‑on Oracle EPM system administrator, and ensuring that planning, forecasting, and reporting remain system‑driven, accurate, and decision‑ready.
This role is designed for a self‑directed finance professional who can synthesize data across platforms, apply sound judgment under imperfect data conditions, and translate complex financial outputs into clear insights for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Business Review & Reporting Packages
Own the creation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review packages, including:
Executive summaries
Variance analyses
Key drivers, risks, and decision implications
Ensure all reporting packages are timely, accurate, and aligned across actuals, forecast, and plan
Translate financial results into clear narratives that support leadership decisions rather than raw data reviews
Partner with Finance leadership to continuously improve the structure, clarity, and usefulness of reporting materials
Oracle EPM Systems Ownership & Administration
Act as a Finance Oracle EPM power user and administrator, with ownership of:
Forecasting, budgeting, and reporting models
Metadata, hierarchies, dimensions, and scenario structures
User access, data submissions, validations, and close/forecast workflows
Ensure planning and forecasting stay within Oracle EPM, minimizing offline or shadow Excel models
Partner with IT and upstream system owners to support integrations, testing, enhancements, and upgrades
Serve as the Finance point‑person for Oracle EPM questions, issues, and process adherence
Data Integrity & Controls
Ensure data integrity and consistency across Oracle EPM, source systems, and reporting outputs
Establish and maintain reconciliation checks, validation rules, and controls to build trust in financial outputs
Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies quickly and transparently
Support audit readiness and reproducibility of financial reporting processes
Financial Planning, Analysis & Judgment
Build, maintain, and interpret forecasts and plans within Oracle EPM, including:
Operating forecasts
Budget updates
Cash and balance‑sheet‑related views
Apply judgment under imperfect or incomplete data conditions to deliver decision‑ready outputs on tight timelines
Synthesize information across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, EPM) to form an integrated financial view
Read, interpret, and explain financial statements with confidence and context
Self‑Starter Execution & Process Improvement
Operate independently with minimal direction, proactively identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
Drive continuous improvement in reporting, planning cadence, and system usage
Reduce manual, error‑prone processes by pushing work into Oracle EPM wherever appropriate
Balance speed, accuracy, and materiality to meet the needs of a fast‑moving environment
Qualifications & Experience
Required
7+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or related roles
Demonstrated experience building executive‑level reporting and business review packages
Hands‑on experience with financial planning or reporting systems (Oracle EPM strongly preferred)
Strong ability to synthesize data across platforms and translate outputs into insights
Proven self‑starter with strong judgment, prioritization, and follow‑through
Preferred
Oracle EPM administrator or power‑user experience
Experience supporting finance system transformations or implementations
Background in high‑growth, PE‑backed, or pre‑IPO environments
Strong Excel skills, with a bias toward migrating complexity into enterprise systems

Weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review packages are trusted, timely, and decision‑focused
Oracle EPM is actively used and enforced as the system of record for planning and reporting
Leadership spends time discussing decisions and risks, not reconciling numbers
Data integrity issues are rare, surfaced early, and resolved quickly
Finance outputs balance speed, accuracy, and judgment in an imperfect‑information environment
