Job Description

The Finance Manager, Procurement, oversees the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across Procurement R&D and Procurement Operations. Provides financial guidance in compliance with financial policies, prepares management analysis of actual vs. benchmark results, and business decision support.  The Finance Manager interacts with all levels of Finance and Procurement and leads key projects and initiatives to improve financial processes. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the annual Plan, Long-Range Plan, and Latest Business Estimate processes, including P&L, headcount, balance sheet, and relevant Procurement financial metrics.
  • Maintain planning-system information accurately and timely, ensuring alignment with approved assumptions, business requirements, and financial policies.
  • Partner effectively with Procurement and business leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, financial scenarios, and recommendations that support business objectives and operate within approved budget parameters.
  • Provide meaningful variance analysis for each planning cycle and monthly reporting period, including explanations of key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Support the Accounting Shared Services monthly close process to ensure complete, accurate, and timely monthly results, including P&L, headcount, balance sheet, accruals, and other relevant financial information.
  • Prepare, communicate, and present meaningful monthly management reporting packages and dashboards to Procurement leadership.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, and other stakeholders to provide business support and financial scenarios that enable informed decision-making.
  • Perform financial reviews and approvals of purchase order requests, invoices, supplier commitments, and other transactions in accordance with applicable policies, controls, and approval requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead or support key projects and initiatives, including management reporting optimization, Power BI dashboard implementation, automation, and AI initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of SAP, BPC, Power Query, Power BI
