Overview: Our client is a
well-established manufacturer/distributor that provides products to a wide
customer base. Due to expansion of its regional base, they are seeking a
strategic and results-oriented finance professional with strong analytical and
compliance expertise to join the Guyana-based team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead
the preparation of financial reports, plans, forecasts, budgets,
reconciliation, audits and taxation to ensure alignment with strategic
objectives.
- Monitor
cash flow, expenses, revenues and financial
performance. Implement financial management procedures and
controls.
- Conduct
risk management and competitive analysis. Advise on potential
financial risks and provide recommendations.
- Ensure
compliance with financial laws and regulations.
- Manage
investments and capital activities. Identify cost reduction and analyze
trends.
Requirements
- A
bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business with at least 5
years’ experience in a Finance leadership role; OR completion of ACCA or
similar accounting designation with 4 years’ experience in a Finance
leadership role.
- Proficient
in accounting systems, with specific experience in SAGE and/or similar ERP
and accounting systems. Experience with SAGE Intacct would be an
advantage.
- Strong
knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs.
- Excellent
analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
- A
proactive approach to problem solving.
- High
level of interpersonal, communication and leadership skills across a
diverse community.
- Sound
knowledge of MS Office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented,
with a readiness to Champion best practices.
- Open
to learning, adaptability, and innovation with a growth mindset.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business and at least 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role
- Alternatively, completion of ACCA or a similar accounting designation with 4 years of finance leadership experience
- Proficiency in accounting systems, including SAGE or similar ERP and accounting systems
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards for SMEs
- Strong analytical, strategic, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAGE Intacct
