- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience owning or supporting financial reporting, statutory audits or regulatory requirements.
- Strong financial analysis skills and confidence working with large and complex datasets.
- Experience partnering with senior internal and external stakeholders and communicating complex financial topics clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
- A self-starter mindset – comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- An understanding of how accounting, tax and regulatory requirements affect financial operations and controls.
- An automation mindset, with an interest in eliminating manual work and improving finance processes through technology. Experience with SQL, Python or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal and other teams internationally.
- Most importantly, you’re excited about Wise’s mission, comfortable operating in an evolving environment, and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve problems and build better ways of working.
