👤 We are looking for...

a Finance Intern to join our finance team on a full-time capacity for 6 months. In this role you will ensure efficient financial management and appropriate financial controls to support Abacum’s business activities and decision making within the organisation. As a finance team member, you will ensure accurate and timely financial records and be responsible for the day-to-day recording. This will include to support during the tracking of all expenses (i.e. purchases, payables, payroll bookings) and sales (i.e. invoices, receivables) in our core accounting systems as well as the processing of transactions (i.e. payments).

📣 As Finance Intern you will...

• Manage & monitor day-to-day financial transactions and journals, including accounts payable and receivable (as well as related P&L accounts including revenue);
• Reconcile bank statements / subledgers / fixed asset registers etc. to ensure accuracy in financial records;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and supporting evidence for financial transactions;
• Support external advisors on tax related topics & facilitate the year-end audit process and liaise with auditors;

🛠 What we need…

• Currently studying and able to provide an University internship agreement
• Ideally you have previous experience with naccounting software and financial management systems (ex. Netsuite), and spreadsheets;
• Fluent English both written & spoken is a must (this is our primary language for internal & external communication); intermediate Spanish for regulatory reporting purposes;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management;
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic startup environment
