We are looking for a driven Finance Intern with a basic understanding of financial principles and terms who is ready for immersive, real-world experience.
Under the supervision of our colleagues and managers, the Finance Intern will participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, and assist with accurate monthly closing of the business units and other accounting activities.
Responsibilities
- Shadowing members of the accounting department as they perform their duties
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
- Preparing standard and ad-hoc financial reports
- Participates in month-end closings, ensuring the monthly variation of accounts is in line with expected results, also in the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and data consolidation, as required
- Assists the Audit process by preparing the information requested by the auditors, as required
- Cooperates closely with Fixed Asset (FA) Team, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Treasury, and FP&A teams
- Participates in the preparation of process documentation, as required
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a Master’s in Accounting
- Fluency in English is required
- Good Excel skills are required
- Proactive, team-orientated, and deadline-driven
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
