The College of Engineering Business Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the financial operations of a large private research institution. This role offers hands-on, real-world experience in university finance, providing exposure to accounting processes, financial reporting, and sponsored project administration within a complex academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with account reconciliations, including reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and preparing supporting documentation.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Contribute to sponsored project accounting, including expense reviews, budget monitoring, and compliance checks.
- Help maintain financial records in accordance with university policies and audit requirements.
- Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline financial workflows.
- Perform additional administrative or analytical tasks as assigned by the Business Office team.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
