Key Responsibilities
Treasury and Cash Management
- Prepare and maintain short-term and rolling cash flow forecasts, funding plans, and cash position reports to support management decision-making.
- Monitor daily bank balances, liquidity requirements, settlement needs, and working capital movements, escalating risks or funding gaps in a timely manner.
- Support financing and refinancing activities, including bank facility administration, loan drawdowns and repayments, interest schedules, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with banks, headquarters, internal departments, and external advisers on treasury matters, ensuring proper records, approvals, and compliance with internal control requirements.
Online Banking Payments Input
- Enter and schedule payments in online banking platforms accurately and on time, including supplier payments, tax payments, intercompany settlements, and other approved disbursements.
- Check that payment requests are supported by valid invoices, contracts, approvals, bank details, and other required documentation before input.
- Coordinate with approvers and relevant departments to resolve payment queries, rejected transactions, bank detail changes, and urgent payment requirements.
Audit Support and Inspection Readiness
- Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, explanations, and follow-up materials.
- Assist with audit requests relating to treasury, bank transactions, payments, tax filings, accounts payable, and related finance processes.
- Track audit findings and follow-up actions, helping ensure timely rectification, evidence collection, and closure of outstanding matters.
- Maintain finance files and compliance records in good order to strengthen daily inspection readiness and internal control discipline.
Tax Filing and Compliance Support
- Prepare, coordinate, and/or support periodic tax and statutory filings, including excise duty, CBS statistical reporting, INTRA-EU reporting, VAT, CIT, WHT, and TP-related submissions or documentation.
- Work with external accounting firms, tax advisers, and internal stakeholders to collect data, verify figures, reconcile records, and submit filings accurately and within required deadlines.
- Maintain supporting schedules and working papers for tax returns, including transaction listings, reconciliations, calculation files, correspondence, and filing confirmations.
- Monitor filing calendars and tax compliance deadlines, escalating issues and coordinating timely resolution with the CFO and relevant parties.
Finance Operations and Reporting Support
- Assist with month-end closing support, and finance reporting as required by the CFO.
- Support improvement of finance workflows, payment controls, filing processes, and coordination mechanisms with headquarters and business teams.
- Perform other finance, treasury, tax, audit, and administrative tasks assigned by the CFO.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, tax, business administration or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in finance operations, treasury, tax compliance, audit support, or accounting.
- Experience in the Netherlands or with European finance/tax compliance is preferred.
- Good understanding of treasury operations, cash planning, bank processes, online banking payment input, and finance internal controls.
- Familiarity with tax and statutory filings such as excise duty, CBS/INTRA-EU reporting, VAT, CIT, WHT, and TP documentation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and ability to manage deadlines for payments, audits, and tax filings.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with banks, auditors, external advisers, headquarters, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common finance systems; SAP experience is a strong plus.
