Your role and responsibilities
The Finance and Fiduciary Analyst, Malaysia and Indonesia, will play a key role in supporting the financial oversight and fiduciary requirements of the Robotics Division in Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as its respective legal entities. This position acts as a vital business partner to operational and functional leaders, ensuring robust financial controls, driving performance, and enhancing financial decision-making at a regional level.
This role is of ABB Robotics and the location is based in Malaysia, Singapore.
- Ensure compliance with global and local fiduciary standards, including US GAAP, statutory reporting, tax, VAT, and internal controls.
- Oversee financial accounting, reporting, controlling, and statutory obligations, while managing audits and liaising with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks aligned with local and global regulations, including assurance, risk mitigation strategies, and internal controls.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, treasury activities, bank relationships, and act as authorized signatory for statutory filings, legal documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Lead financial planning processes—budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis—and contribute to business performance management, demand order budgeting, and KPI monitoring (cash, profitability, etc.).
- Partner with local leadership to optimize financial performance, support project reviews, and assess financial impact of contracts/purchase orders with appropriate mitigations.
- Participate in risk reviews, manage authorization tables per company guidelines, and ensure strong compliance frameworks across all financial operations.
Qualification of the role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, business finance, or regional finance management in a multinational or B2B industrial setting.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, business performance management, and project controlling.
- Experience leading finance functions across multiple countries, with knowledge of financial regulations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), financial analytics tools, and Excel.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
