Make your mark in Finance Department

Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.


How you will create an impact

  • Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities including performing reconciliations, preparing journals and financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Support in the new enhanced BNM reporting for MFRS 4 and 17 of on a quarterly basis.

  • Support audit exercises and reviews by auditors and/or authorities by preparing and providing requested information in a timely manner.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems by leveraging automation and regularly reviewing existing procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy and control.
  • Participate in and assist with the preparation and execution of regulatory projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional projects and provide financial insights that assist in decision-making, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Support the implementation of new/ongoing projects as and when needed.

Implementation of the IFRS 17 project including but not limited to data mapping and system enhancement.

  • Attend any ad-hoc assignments that may be required from time to time.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of Finance processes and procedures is preferred. (Highly preferred candidates with MFRS17 experience)
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with a high level of responsibility.
  • Effective time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet varying tasks and deadlines.
  • Adaptability to be able to quickly pivot in a dynamic Finance environment in response to evolving demands and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • To work with integrity, able to work independently or as part of a team to achieve personal and business objectives.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Able to self-reflect/ analyze, actively seek feedback to identify strengths and personal development.
