Finance

Our finance professionals play an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. They deliver significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, funding and capital structure to honor our commitments to our stakeholders. They inform the decisions of AIG executives and comply with regulatory requirements, maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

Within the Finance team, the Treasury and Capital Markets group handles Treasury Department activities and funding the overall capital structure of AIG and investor relations. The Actuarial and Value Management team manages rating agency relations. The Finance Operations team handles controllership activities, including Security & Exchange Commission reporting and tax.

About the role

What you need to know:

Purpose of the role:  

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance & Accounts, she is responsible for carrying out day-to-day operational tasks in relation to USGAAP reporting, investment portfolio, tax reporting and assist in IFRS 17 implementation in accordance with Company policies, procedures, professional standards, best practices and regulatory guidelines for Company.

Accountabilities for the role:

AIG Group Reporting

To prepare annual and quarterly submission of USGAAP reporting, including manual schedules and reports for management review. To perform month-end Balance Sheet Reconciliation.

Investment

To prepare monthly, quarterly and Financial Statement schedules both interim and final disclosure. To prepare month-end general ledger book for investment transactions. To prepare monthly and quarterly analytics due to Bank Negara and to AIG Group Reporting. To perform investment reconciliation against and Aladdin reports and custodian bank. To update daily investment movement transactions and trade blotter.

Tax

To prepare monthly Sales & Service Tax return for payment and submission to Royal Malaysia Custom Department (“RMCD”). To prepare and submit e-invoice template in DeInvoice portal.

Others

To oversee the maintenance for Computron and SAP system. To perform daily and monthly SDI reconciliation. To perform monthly assessment and prepare journal for leases (IFRS 16). To prepare monthly and quarterly statutory sub-reports to Bank Negara (Bancassurance, Medical & Health, Insurance, IRE (Agency Related Expenses). Preparation of quarterly gross premium by distribution channel report to Insurance Service Malaysia Berhad (“ISM). 

What we’re looking for:

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1 – 2 years of years’ experience in related field

• Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
