Who We Are:

The Facilities Group (TFG), headquartered in Tampa, FL, is a family of commercial facilities maintenance companies, providing best-in-class service to over 25,000 locations across the country. The Facilities Group partners with the premier local, regional, and national facility service providers while maintaining brand legacy and driving high-powered technology. The Facilities Group family of companies has 17 offices throughout the United States and provides comprehensive suite of janitorial and maintenance services to a variety of end markets including commercial, distribution, logistics, aviation, education, finance, industrial and healthcare facilities.

Our principle of providing best-in-class service not only guides how we treat our clients but is also the foundation of our company culture. We understand the importance of maintaining an exciting culture for our employees and believe in creating an empowering professional environment with a sense of community and opportunity.

The Role:

The Finance Business Partner is the finance lead for a portfolio of TFG brands and a true partner to the presidents and operations leaders who run them. This is not just a reporting role. Operations owns the results; you own the process that drives them: the budget, the forecast, the monthly performance review, and the action plans that close the gaps. You will be accountable for pushing operating leaders to deliver on their commitments, and you will spend real time with operations, in business reviews, in the field, and in the pricing, labor, and staffing decisions that drive margin. As a private equity–backed company growing through acquisitions, TFG offers a seat at the leadership table, direct visibility with the executive team and ownership group, and the chance to shape how finance partners with the business as we scale. As TFG grows, so does the opportunity to take on broader scope. This role reports to the VP of FP&A.

This is a hybrid position based out of Tampa, FL. Candidates are eligible for up to two work-from-home days after a probationary period.

Finance Business Partner Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive portfolio performance: Serve as the finance lead for your assigned brands, partnering with the operating leaders who own the results and pushing them to deliver on revenue, gross margin, labor, and EBITDA targets.
  • Run the operating cadence: Lead monthly business reviews with brand and operations leaders covering results versus budget, forecast, and prior year, root causes, and committed actions with clear owners and dates. Track every action to closure and escalate when commitments slip.
  • Drive accountability on the metrics that matter: Set KPI targets with operations for labor (labor as a percentage of revenue, overtime, and hours versus budget), gross margin, account profitability, and collections, and keep leaders focused on hitting them.
  • Turn around underperforming accounts: Identify accounts and sites below target and lead corrective plans with operations, including pricing, scope, staffing, or exit decisions.
  • Own the budget and forecast: Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts for your portfolio, secure sign-off from operating leaders, and own forecast accuracy.
  • Shape commercial decisions: Review and challenge pricing, bids, and renewals before submission in partnership with the pricing team, and evaluate capital, headcount, and strategic investments on ROI.
  • Protect the integrity of the numbers: Partner with Accounting Shared Services through month-end close to make sure your portfolio’s revenue, labor, and costs are complete, correctly recorded, and tied back to source.
  • Advise leadership: Bring a clear point of view to the executive team and ownership group on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support acquisitions: Support the finance integration of acquired brands into your portfolio, including diligence analysis and onboarding into TFG’s reporting, budgeting, and planning processes.
  • Build scalable processes: Support Workday Adaptive Planning adoption, standardize reporting across brands, and drive automation that frees up time for analysis and decision support.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Within your first 90 days, you are running the monthly business review for your portfolio, with a working action tracker in place with each operating leader.
  • Within your first year, your portfolio shows measurable improvement against budget in labor and gross margin, and forecasts are consistently reliable.
  • Operating leaders see you as their first call on any decision with financial impact.

Who You Are:

  • Ownership mindset: owns the process and the follow-through, acts without being asked, and keeps pushing until the problem is fixed.
  • Credible with operators: comfortable in the field, understands how labor, scheduling, and scope drive margin, and earns the respect of general managers and regional leaders.
  • Direct and courageous: willing to have the hard conversation, push back on a weak forecast, and escalate when commitments are missed, while keeping the relationship strong.
  • Commercially sharp: connects pricing, labor, and scope decisions to margin and brings recommendations, not just reports.
  • A builder: puts structure, cadence, and repeatable processes in place instead of relying on heroics.
  • Rigorous: holds a high bar for accuracy and digs into the “why” behind every number.

Finance Business Partner Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience, including at least 2 years partnering directly with P&L owners such as general managers or regional operations leaders.
  • Demonstrated impact on operating results (for example, margin, labor productivity, or account profitability), not just reporting on them.
  • Experience challenging operating leaders and holding them accountable to budgets, forecasts, and action plans.
  • Strong financial modeling and ROI analysis skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, and NetSuite (or comparable planning, BI, and ERP tools), and a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to influence executives and field leaders alike.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a private equity–backed company, ideally one growing through acquisitions.
  • Facilities services experience is a strong plus; backgrounds in other multi-site, labor-intensive industries (such as staffing, security, logistics, or field services) are also welcome.
  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts.
  • Experience with M&A integration or an FP&A system implementation such as Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate analysis and reporting.

Finance Business Partner Benefits

  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Matching 401(k)
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Hybrid work schedule
