Finance Business Partner
Reports to: Strategic Finance BP Lead
Position Overview:
The Finance Business Partner in Royal Canin Korea supports business performance by providing financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision support to commercial and functional stakeholders.
This role goes beyond budgeting and reporting by partnering closely with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers, evaluate opportunities and risks, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. The position offers broad exposure across business partnering, financial planning, profitability analysis, and cash flow management.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and hands-on experience in financial planning, financial modelling, performance analysis, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Business Partnering
- Partner with commercial and functional stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- Support evaluation of business initiatives, pricing actions, promotional activities, and strategic projects.
- Provide fact-based financial analysis and recommendations to identify risks and opportunities.
- Build effective working relationships across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions.
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Support annual budget, rolling forecast, and strategic planning processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to corporate reporting systems.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, investment evaluations, and business cases.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to support periodic business reviews, management discussion, and data-driven decision-making.
P&L Management & Performance Analysis
- Manage end-to-end P&L planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Deliver insightful variance analyses, identifying key drivers behind revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.
- Monitor business performance and analyze key drivers behind variances versus target and prior year, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance
- Conduct profitability analyses across products, channels, customers, and business initiatives.
Free Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Support FCF forecasting and performance tracking.
- Analyze cash flow drivers, including inventory, receivables, payables, and capital expenditures.
- Support initiatives to improve working capital efficiency and cash flow performance.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management processes.
- Drive automation and simplification initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
- Support implementation and optimization of finance tools and reporting systems.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline. CPA or equivalent professional qualifications are a plus.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in Finance including FP&A or Finance Business Partnering
- Strong financial analysis skills with experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance management.
- Experience supporting P&L planning and analysis; exposure to balance sheet and cash flow planning is preferred.
- Experience partnering with commercial or operational functions to support business decisions.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English and Korean, both written and spoken.
