What You’ll Do
Financial operations
- Process purchase invoices, expenses and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activity and prepare information for regular payment runs.
- Complete routine bank, balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigating straightforward differences.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Respond to day-to-day Finance queries, following them through to resolution or escalating where appropriate.
- Support month-end activities and help the team meet reporting deadlines.
- Prepare routine financial reports, schedules and supporting information.
- Support journals, accruals and prepayments as your knowledge and experience develop.
- Check financial information for accuracy and investigate unexpected movements or discrepancies.
- Use Excel to reconcile, organise and analyse financial information.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by gathering and checking financial information.
- Track actual performance against budgets and help investigate variances.
- Assist with analysis of costs, cash flow and financial performance.
- Identify trends or unusual movements and raise them with the appropriate colleague.
- Develop your understanding of the commercial drivers behind our financial performance and how Finance supports business decisions.
- Follow financial controls, approval processes and team procedures.
- Handle financial and commercially sensitive information appropriately and confidentially.
- Support the preparation of information required for audits, tax activity and other compliance requirements.
- Work towards your CIMA qualification with support from Vintage.com and apply your learning in your day-to-day role.
- Seek feedback, ask questions and take on greater responsibility as your technical knowledge and confidence develop.
