IKEA Social Entrepreneurship is looking for a Finance and Investment Specialist to lead the financial aspects of our programmes that support and accelerate social entrepreneurs. We are seeking a Finance and Investment Specialist to become part of our dedicated, small team at IKEA Social Entrepreneurship. You will play a key role in leading financial aspects of our collaborative programmes with partner organizations—primarily NGOs and social enterprises—in close collaboration with our social impact leaders. Your duties will also include assessing and supporting both ongoing and new impact investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the sourcing and due diligence processes for new impact investments, while fostering the growth and development of social enterprises within our portfolio.
• Assess funding proposals from a value-for-money standpoint and assist in proposal development.
• Conduct organizational evaluations of potential partners to determine their strengths and capacity to responsibly manage our funds responsibly and to deliver programmatic goals.
• Ensure that the programmes are contracted, funded, and managed in accordance with internal requirements.
• Monitoring of running programmes and investments, including analysis of progress reports, audited financial statements, process amendments of proposals and agreements and closing of programme
• Handle monthly internal reporting and forecasting duties.
• Offer financial advice and align and collaborate with procurement, legal, and tax support teams as required.
• Support implementation and development of impact investment approach. Contribute to further development of internal organisation by being an active member in operational discussions and optimizing ways of working, tools and processes.

About you

We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 5 years of experience as finance and investment specialist or in a similar role within an international environment. You have a solid understanding of financial management, investments and project control, coupled with strong analytical and organizational abilities.  

You are solution-oriented, constantly seeking better methods and better ways. Known for your strong work ethic, you are reliable, responsible, quality-focused, and uphold integrity. You are able to build trustworthy relationships with investees and strategic partners and influence at transaction level. Excellent communication skills, also in English, are essential.

Having knowledge of and understanding impact measurement and a background working alongside social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations would be an asset but is not a prerequisite for this role.

This is a fulltime role (40 hours per week) located in Delft, Netherlands. You will report to the Managing Director but in everyday work, you will be working on assignments from the Finance and Investment Leader.
