Role DescriptionThe Finance & Accounting Lead acts as the right hand of the Head of Group Accounting and plays a key role within the Accounting, Compliance & Control and FP&A framework of Omnicom Media.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the day-to-day General Ledger operations, financial reporting, and the accurate recording of financial transactions. In addition, you lead and coach a team of four finance professionals, ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous development.
You safeguard the integrity, accuracy, control, and timeliness of financial reporting, while actively contributing to an improved financial control environment. As Omnicom Media continues its (global) finance transformation, you help bring the accounting function to the next level. You are not a traditional scorekeeper, but a forward-looking finance partner who drives better business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities – General Ledger & Financial Accounting- Own and manage day-to-day General Ledger activities
- Ensure accurate and timely journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Manage GL accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close for multiple entities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company guidelines
- Lead, coordinate and support a team of four finance professionals
- Monitor workload, quality, and deadlines
- Actively intervene and provide coaching where needed
- Support onboarding and development of team members
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Provide management reports, ad-hoc analysis and insights
- Monitor non-billed items and support timely invoicing
- Monitor debt management and intervene where necessary
- Strengthen internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Prepare audit documentation and PBC requests
- Support internal, external and customer audits
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 6–8+ years of accounting and control experience
- Leadership experience in a hands-on finance role
- Experience in an international environment is a plus
- Strong Excel, ERP and analytical skills
