Program Overview
The Finance Management Trainee Program (MDP) is a structured initiative designed to develop future finance leaders. This two-year, rotational program is tailored for Chartered Accountants, providing early exposure to a variety of finance functions. Through this experience, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of financial strategy, operations, and technology.
Trainees join a select cohort, engaging in hands-on work, receiving mentorship from senior leaders, and benefiting from ongoing learning opportunities. The program accelerates professional development and equips participants for leadership roles within the organization.
Key Program Highlights
1. Structured Rotational Experience
Participants rotate across key finance areas, developing expertise and a broad perspective:
- FP&A Centre of Excellence (COE): Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and business partnering support
- Controllership:
Month-end close, financial reporting (statutory & management), compliance, process design & automation and internal controls
- Financial Systems & Business Intelligence (FSBI):
Exposure to finance technologies including Oracle/EPM, data platforms such as Snowflake, Tableau dashboards, automation initiatives, and emerging AI applications in finance
2. Senior Mentorship
Receive individualized guidance and advice from experienced industry professionals who are committed to supporting your growth and success.
3. Continuous Learning
Engage in ongoing training, challenging projects, and apprenticeship opportunities to build a strong foundation for a career at Morningstar.
4. Cohort-Based Experience

- Recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)-June 2026
