Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Supervisor to join our Finance team.
This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general accounting, tax compliance, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives while supporting the Accounting Manager in driving operational excellence and financial governance.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Prepare and review financial reports, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.
- Support reporting requirements for management, regional, and corporate finance teams.
- Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and reporting standards.
General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Review and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain strong control over accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor month-end accruals, prepaid expenses, provisions, and intercompany transactions.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate VAT, CIT, FCT, PIT, and other local tax compliance activities.
- Support preparation and review of tax filings and statutory reports.
- Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, and auditors when required.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their business impact.
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting and tax regulations.
Internal Controls & Audit
- Execute and monitor internal control activities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal control requirements.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to strengthen compliance and control effectiveness.
Fixed Assets & Capital Expenditure
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Coordinate capital expenditure approval and tracking processes.
- Manage annual fixed asset verification and inventory certification.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment of asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Lead automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Support implementation and enhancement of financial systems and reporting processes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting team.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to accounting staff.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development activities.
- Assist in workload planning and resource allocation.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Chief Accountant Certificate is an advantage.
- Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CPA Australia, etc.) are preferred but not required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- At least 2 years in a Senior Accountant, Team Lead, or Supervisor capacity.
- Experience in multinational companies is highly preferred.
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or service industries is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
- Experience in process automation and reporting enhancement projects is highly desirable.
