Filling Manager

For our sterile manufacturing site located in Brussels (Neder-Over-Heembeek), we are looking for a Filling Manager:  you will be responsible for the management of the aseptic filling teams, in compliance with quality and safety standards and within the allocated budget.

You manage a team of 3-4 direct reports and +-80 indirect reports and also act as a leader for the improvement of the manufacturing department. The role directly reports to the Senior Manufacturing Manager.

The Role

• Responsible for the performance and strategy of the entire week filling activities in collaboration with the Manufacturing Support manager and the Manufacturing WE manager.
• Provides managerial support to the filling supervisors in all weekday shifts, including coaching, developing, organizing, goal & performance development, conflict-resolution.
• Implements and monitors key performance indicators, sets the department priorities, and delegates accordingly.
• Follows-up on industry procedures, manufacturing records, audits, and corrective/preventive actions, and validation activities (media fill, task and equipment validation).
• Fosters a culture of patient first, quality and operational excellence, data integrity, and a one team spirit.
• Compliance with the annual allocated budgets and preparation of future budgets.
• Personnel management according to production needs: recruitment, training, organisation, motivation, evaluation and development.
• Collaboration with the relevant stakeholders to guarantee the filling objectives (Supply Chain, QA, QC, Maintenance, CI).

The Candidate

• University degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Pharmacy, or other relevant scientific disciplines.
• At least 5 of experience in GMP aseptic manufacturing (Production, Engineering, or Quality).
• Expertise in GxP audit management and interactions with global regulatory authorities, with a focus on biological products/production.
• Must have experience in People Management and engaging people.
• Fluent in French & English.
• Operational management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of security standards and procedures.
