Overview:
The File and Records Manager plays a key role in maintaining organized, efficient, and accessible records to support the mission and daily operations of the Spokane County Democrats. This individual will help manage digital and/or physical files, streamline document management systems, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory filing standards, especially within a political and advocacy context.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize, maintain, and update digital and/or physical filing systems.
Implement a standardized filing and naming convention for documents.
Ensure all files are properly archived and accessible to relevant team members.
Track filing deadlines and assist with document preparation and retention schedules.
Support administrative staff with document retrieval and filing-related tasks.
Ensure confidential and sensitive documents are securely managed.
Assist with onboarding documentation, donor records, compliance files, and meeting minutes as needed.
Provide occasional support for data entry and administrative reporting.
These qualities and skills will be helpful:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Comfortable using digital file management tools (SharePoint, etc.).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Interest in nonprofit and/or political work is a plus.
Prior experience with administrative or clerical tasks preferred but not required.

What We Do
The Spokane County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC), known as the Spokane County Democrats, is a local political organization in Washington state. It focuses on electing Democratic candidates to public office and promoting a platform based on human rights, social justice, and economic equity. The organization works to register voters, endorse candidates, and advocate for policies that benefit the community and ensure equal opportunity for all.
