POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the File Comparison Coordinator, this role is responsible to compare files to ensure they match with precise detail.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions)
- Use a PDF patent application as a source document to check the accuracy of a Word document and make edits, as necessary; check and compare source and target texts to meet quality standards (QC/QA)
- Format and prepare documents for translation
- Extract texts in drawings
- Participate in project management related to document comparison and proofreading, coordinating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure timely completion.
- Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience: Any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience in document edition/revision a plus
- Proficiency (ability to read and type) in 2nd language preferred, but not required (Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, German, French or Spanish)
- Strong attention to detail is crucial
- Knowledge of and prior experience using Microsoft Office – styles, formatting, basic macros, etc.
- Type 50+ WPM
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Be responsive and responsible
- Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written
- Participate in a culture of responsiveness to strengthen relationships and ensure the needs of others are met and respected
