You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for supporting the technical and tactical execution of Apptronik’s service delivery strategy. This includes all technical services (at both Apptronik and customer sites), facilitating success in the following areas: Deployment, Break-Fix Support, Help Desk services, and all areas that will be needed to achieve the objectives of the business, achieving year-on-year growth. The candidate is responsible for helping to define, implement, and monitor processes and procedures required for successful service delivery and fleet management. This individual will also assist in supporting sales demonstrations, managing customer relationships, and driving process improvements. This position will be highly visible, has great potential for advancement in a rapidly growing company, and requires the candidate to establish and manage expectations with customers, vendors, executives, and department leaders within Apptronik. Please note that this role will be based in Mountain View, California.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the day-to-day operations and service delivery for all robots including troubleshooting and repair
  • Assist the various Apptronik teams in the support of customer product demonstrations
  • Ensure compliance with all customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Support cross-functional teams to perform pre-job briefs, retrospectives, and root cause analyses
  • Work collaboratively with business teams on key customer account management
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of cross-functional training, work instructions, best practices, and procedures to ensure consistency with customer needs, company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Support production/manufacturing in areas of testing and quality assurance

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Supporting high uptime (24 x 7), high-reliability systems in customer facilities
  • Providing clear documentation and detailed updates to engineering and management
  • Operating in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines
  • Working both independently and collaboratively with others in a remote workforce environment
  • Good analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds at times
  • Need travel for long periods (internationally)
