Join Alfa Laval’s Circular Separation Technologies (CST) team as an External Sales Engineer, where you’ll drive business growth by building strong customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across Oceania.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution
- Drive direct sales of CST products and services through full ownership of the sales cycle.
- Develop and execute sales plans aligned with CST strategy across key industries.
Market Development & Customer Engagement
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive market analysis and lead generation.
- Build strong customer relationships via regular engagement and solution-focused discussions.
Commercial & Technical Delivery
- Prepare and negotiate profitable proposals that clearly communicate CST’s value.
- Use CRM and digital tools for accurate forecasting and reporting.
Collaboration & Mentoring
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Support and mentor junior sales staff, contributing to team capability and strategic goals.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in technical field sales, ideally in process equipment or capital goods.
Industry Knowledge
- Familiarity with industrial sectors such as food & beverage, water/wastewater, mining, energy, or chemicals.
Sales & Communication Skills
- Proven success in B2B sales, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Tools & Travel
- Proficient in CRM and digital sales platforms.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Eastern Australia
