Responsible for the oversight and implementation of the rating onboarding program for new hire raters countrywide for EMC rating systems, processes, and workflows. Produces, maintains, and updates onboarding guide and resources, ensuring materials remain up to date. Serves as a field rating subject matter expert on corporate, field, and regional projects.
Essential Functions:

Develops and delivers rating onboarding program for countrywide new hire raters and rating supervisors for EMC rating systems, process, and all business line workflows

Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create an inclusive rating onboarding experience

Actively evaluates and assesses team member training progress in onboarding program in accordance with standardized workflow

Provides feedback to rating leadership on new hire progress so leadership can assign appropriate level work to each trainee

Facilitates additional new hire and existing team member training as identified and provides feedback to leadership on trainee progress

Creates and maintains new hire onboarding guide, including state specific guide and resources

Ensures onboarding resources and materials remain up to date

Collaborates with rating leadership to develop and address state specific business needs and statutory differences such as cancellation timelines and conditional renewals

Works to create standardize processes to be utilized across the company for rating

Serves as the subject matter expert for all raters on EMC rating systems, processes, and workflows and makes updates as necessary

Acts as a resource for raters, supervisors, branch underwriters and others. to answer rating specific questions

Develops and leads the department quality initiatives through coordination of the quality review program, enhancements, and reporting

Collaborates with people leader to develop and maintain quality measurement criteria

Assists with the quantity and effectiveness of the quality reviews through collaboration with the team leaders

Continually reviews the success of the initiative, including making updates and changes as appropriate

Identifies trends during audits for potential team training or individual training opportunities

Attends meetings with rating leadership team to provide training updates and share information from around the company that impacts rating

Assists with hiring of new raters and supervisors
Education & Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalency
-
Associate degree in business or related field preferred
-
Five years of commercial rating experience
-
Previous leadership experience preferred
-
Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of countrywide rating techniques, terminology, policies, procedures, products, forms, and systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and training skills

Strong customer service skills, including the ability to build trust with business leaders, stakeholders, and team members

Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently, both in person and in hybrid environment

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and communication tools such as Zoom

Occasional travel; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling
Per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $63,902.70 - $82,036.70. The hiring range for other locations may vary.
