The Field Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems. This role involves working on various sites, ensuring that solar panels and related electrical systems are installed safely and efficiently. The Field Electrician will also troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the operation of the PV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Conduct regular maintenance checks on PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and repair any faults or issues in the electrical systems.
    • Replace defective components and ensure systems are operating efficiently.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
    • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
    • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate with clients to explain the installation process and system operation.
    • Provide training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of PV systems.
    • Address any customer concerns or questions regarding the PV systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electrical work preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical installation or maintenance, preferably in PV solar systems.
  • Knowledge of PV technology and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical wiring and installation.
  • Familiarity with PV system components and their functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
