Coordinates all aspects of a construction project. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions:
• Review job folders for prints, applicable permits, etc.
• Whiteline jobs for construction and coordinate with utility owners and construction crews.
• Contact and coordinate with Utility locating agencies, such as Bluestake, 811 Dig Safe, etc.
• Communicates and updates activities with the Office Coordinator and job supervisors.
• Monitors the construction process and ensures that projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
• Uses engineering and technical knowledge to ensure that components, systems, and equipment complement the project.
• May conduct inspections of construction projects at the direction of job supervisor.
• Must meet with a variety of clientele, vendors, government agencies, etc., off-site and in various municipalities.
• Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
• 1 + years of experience required in the telecommunications industry- Telco, Fiber, CATV, etc.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills are required.
• Must possess technical expertise, time management skills, project planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
