Littelfuse is searching for a Field Applications Engineer to be responsible for technical support for the Regional Switch, Sensor & ADS Connector customers with the purpose of increasing the number or design wins at Key and Emerging Customers under the direction of the Director, North America Business Development. Will also work closely with the NA Switch BDM Team as well as LF NA ESBU RSMs, FAEs, DSMs and our NA Manufacturer Rep Firm Network.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with customers at the product concept and design level to ensure that the customer has the necessary information to facilitate design-in or our new & existing products.
  • Develop close relationships with customers and sales reps to enhance Company image and competitiveness and uncover new application opportunities.
  • Coordinate product qualifications for customers in a timely and efficient manner through communication with pertinent PM, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Sales Reps.
  • Conduct product application seminars and training for key Customers, Sales Reps and Distributors.
  • Maintain and update the NBO / Top Opportunities reports as needed.
  • Coordinate travel coverage with the regional BDM & sales resources to maximize specific Customer, Sales Rep and Distribution technical support.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure accurate and timely responses to product quality issues.
  • Technical and application knowledge of Electromechanical Switches, Sensors and ADS Connector products preferred.
  • Provides technical feedback to the Product Marketing and Engineering Teams regarding customer application needs for new product development.
  • Provide internal Littelfuse training as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule monthly conference calls with the Product Marketing Team and Regional management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or appropriate technical discipline.
  • Two to Five years+ of experience in applications engineering and customer interface as well as knowledge of electronics test lab equipment and reliability/quality metrics related to switch, sensor and ADS connector products a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required due to high customer interaction, via phone, video call, e-mail and direct contact.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows required.
