Local Accounting (LAC) contains the local accounting activities in a given country and ensures compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and regulations.
- Collects, consolidates and inputs financial information in appropriate tools analysis in accordance with requirements and defined targets in own area.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of own activities.
- Proactively performs preventative quality controls and takes corrective actions when errors occur.
- Provides complex analysis and reports to support decision making.
- Contributes to ensuring compliance with Nokia accounting principles, internal controls policies and reporting procedures, as well as external rules and regulations.
- Cooperate actively with internal / external stakeholders to ensure proper and timely resolution of problems.
- Provides working leadership and training to less experienced personnel.
- May lead to small projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
- Prepares tax account reconciliation and provides clear explanations about differences between tax account balances and amounts paid in the tax returns
- Ensures accuracy of tax account balances, identifies root cause of differences, proposes remediation plans and guarantees its timely execution
- Bs Accountant with 4 to 5 years experience and at least 2 years in tax compliance.
- Preferred background from Big 4 Consulting or multinational companies with structured processes.
- Practical experience in SAP, Office and other relevant technologies.
- Good Communication Skills, with ability to clearly articulate ideas and information, including Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
