The FHN Financial Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using modern technologies. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex business problems, mentoring other developers, leading technology initiatives, and working directly with end users to deliver high-quality software solutions
Key Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy. and maintain enterprise web applications
Participate in application architecture technical design, and code reviews
Develop modern user interfaces using Angular and Blazor
Build RESTful APIs and backend service using Microsoft .NET
Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies
Develop distributed applications using message queue technologies such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus
Collaborate directly with business users to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
Lead technical projects and provide guidance to other developers
Participate in Agile planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented and thoroughly test code
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience with Microsoft .NET (.NET Framework and/or .NET), C#, Angular, Blazor, Microsoft SQL Server
Experience building REST APIs and service-oriented applications.
Experience with one or more message queue technologies such as: RabbitMQ, MSMQ or IBM MQ
Experience using Git and GitHub for source control.
Experience with Azure DevOps including repositories, pipelines, work items, and release management.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
Experience developing secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications.
Experience leading technical initiatives or serving as technical lead on projects.
Experience with Agile software development practices and tools such as Jira.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
