Role Description:
As a Cloud Business Manager your primary functions will revolve around supporting any initiatives and/or projects associated with tower objectives. This role will play a large part in planning and supporting our Lifecycle management programs such as Infrastructure Operating Systems, Hardware Refresh and other various components. The role will also support Compliance/Audit activities and Disaster Recovery Planning/Testing.
Job SummaryEnsures effective governance is in place to enable the adoption and acceleration of cloud services across the organization in an effective and cost-efficient manner in partnership with IT Business Management for moderate programs. Establishes and maintains strong stakeholder engagement. Oversees and coordinates program management of various projects, products, and other strategic initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders. Identifies related delivery requirements and assesses potential impacts within the assigned delivery scope with limited coaching and support from leadership. Supports the seamless onboarding and management of new teams to the cloud. Ensures the training and knowledge transfer required to migrate and deliver cloud services is successfully completed. Identifies cost saving opportunities and ensures spending is aligned with budgeted forecasts. Provides coaching to junior and associate cloud business managers.
Essential Job FunctionsManages all aspects of the Cloud Business Office including onboarding, governance, cost allocation, and spend management of varying complexity. Maintains strong working relationships with vendors including cloud, software, hardware and other IT associated vendors and service providers with minimal oversight by leadership. Works closely with Procurement, IT Finance, and IT Business Management to provide a positive experience and derived value from cloud services and software utilization. Partners with teams responsible for Software Asset Management, Software License Management, and software and hardware support contracts, associated procurement, and renewals. Projects are of intermediate complexity and require limited coaching and assistance from leadership. Manages and coordinates with various groups to identify critical systems and dependencies. Identifies the potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in catastrophic impact. Assists Business Continuity administration in conducting business impact assessments with business units to determine critical business processes with coaching and feedback as requested. Coordinates and executes tabletop exercises, di saster recovery exercises, ransomware simulation tests, document results, recovery time capabilities, issues, and resolutions through post-testing analysis independently. Manages the process for reporting usage charges to create visibility of business units’ expen diture. Enforces the implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensures the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is up to date for accurate reporting is produced, enabling software and hardware assets to be properly managed. Requires limited c oaching and support. Specializes in defining and operationalizing cloud role-based learning paths and team-based learning approaches. Ensures training and enablement aligned with new roles and team structures across the wider teams and business units.
Requirements
5 years of related experience required.
3+ years of experience within IT with preference of Infrastructure, operations, audit or compliance experience.
General understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks.
Familiarity with Disaster Recovery concepts.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
