Job Description:
An opportunity for a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Toulouse (France). The selected candidate will join a brand-new team inside the Military Derivatives department of Air Power.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyse and validate metallic parts in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT), as well as composite or hybrid structures.
Write and check stress dossiers, justification reports, and test programs.
Define justification approaches and ensure activity progress with Technical Authority support.
Support manufacturing by assessing non-conformities on structural elements.
Work closely with design engineers and communicate with internal/external stakeholders, experts, and civil or military authorities.

- Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT).
- Soft skills: Autonomous approach, strong adaptability, open-minded, synthetic thinker, and good communication skills.
- Languages: Advanced level of English and Spanish (both written & spoken). French is a plus.
- Technical knowledge: Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods and tools, plus an understanding of digital tools and solutions.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
