Position Description

 

APAC Equities Facilitation Trader with responsibility for use of firm’s capital to complement the equity execution offering across the region.  Interact directly with the regional Sales Trading team to generate revenue through the use of the company’s facilitation trading book. 


Key Areas of Responsibilities


  • Working with Sales Traders to provide a targeted use of capital to key accounts
  • To provide support and origination of revenue
  • Centralised point on the floor for all flow related risk handling activities
  • Appropriate assessment of trade risk versus financial upside to the firm, taking into account client tiering and expectations
  • Fulfil duty as an IPO stabilization agent
  • Manage risk within given limits in a highly regulated landscape
  • Building risk handling capabilities and facilitation infrastructure
  • Ability to provide ETF pricing to clients
  • Working closely with Compliance, Operations, Risk, Treasury, Finance and Technology
  • Undertake commercially viable prepositioning activities with associated hedging functions

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance or Economics
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in trading related role with majority of time spent as a facilitation trader
  • SFC Licensed
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and other front office trading systems
  • Experience in regional markets
  • Advanced analytical and numerical competency
  • Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships
  • Strong IT skills, minimum excel, VBA and python programming
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
