As an External Reporting Specialist in our External Reporting team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial statements and management reporting. You will work closely with various lines of business to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help us maintain a sound control environment and validate balance sheet items. Join us to make a significant impact on our financial reporting processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply up-to-date product, industry, and market knowledge in reporting.
- Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate data collection and quarterly business results with various teams.
- Assist in assessing issues and outcomes thoroughly.
- Communicate financial information clearly to business lines and flag potential issues.
- Participate in the production, review, and filing of regulatory reports.
- Adhere to proof and control procedures for accurate reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and complete data submission to regulators.
- Interpret and define regulatory and SEC requirements.
- Establish and manage relationships with business lines and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts for data quality and reporting.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Relevant experience in a finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, or regulatory reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, and communication.
- Team player with the ability to work across diverse functions and locations.
- Excellent Excel and computer skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Extremely strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in Product Control, Financial Control, or knowledge of SEC/Regulatory Reporting.
- Project management experience or skills.
