Job Title: Internal Sales Coordinator - Export Specialist
Job Summary
The Internal Sales Coordinator - Export Specialist based in Maidstone (VIC) is responsible for managing and coordinating Prysmian's export activities to international markets. This role ensures compliance with export regulations, timely shipment of goods, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with internal teams, customers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end export operations
- Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments
- Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and resolve delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate export records and update internal systems
- Support audits and inspections related to export compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve export processes and reduce costs
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally, Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field or similar experience
- 2–5 years of experience in export operations, logistics, or international trade (depending on role level)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, and customs procedures
- Experience working with freight forwarders and customs authorities
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/export management systems
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
Preferred (Optional)
- Experience exporting to specific regions (EU, Asia, Americas etc.)
- Knowledge of trade compliance, sanctions, or export controls
- Experience/Proficiency with SAP ERP system
