You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of export control governance, auditing, records management, and compliance frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and coordinate export control approval applications, including Third Party Retransfers (TPRs) and Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs).
- Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) activities across Defence projects.
- Maintain export control records, registers, approvals, and audit documentation.
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement of export control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Provide advice and support on ITAR compliance and export control requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience working with US export controls, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS).
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and compliance requirements in a Defence environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, briefs, submissions, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive relationships across Defence, industry, and government organisations.
- Experience managing records, registers, project documentation, and information management activities.
- A proactive and autonomous approach, with the ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, and accountability in a complex project environment.
