To provide advanced quality engineering expertise by defining testing strategies, driving automation and quality standards, and ensuring complex technology solutions meet required levels of reliability, performance, security, and functionality.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as senior quality engineering authority across squads and platforms.
- Define comprehensive test strategies for complex applications, platforms, and integrations.
- Establish quality engineering standards, methodologies, and testing practices.
- Design and own automated testing frameworks and reusable testing solutions across web, mobile, and APIs.
- Drive certification and compliance testing with SAMA, payment schemes (mada, Visa, Mastercard), and other external entities.
- Own preparation and submission of test evidence, certification artifacts, and audit documentation for
- regulators and scheme bodies.
- Manage external certification cycles, including scheduling, defect turnaround, and re-submission.
- Lead quality validation for complex and business-critical releases.
- Define approaches for functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and reliability testing.
- Review requirements and solution designs to identify quality risks early.
- Analyze quality trends and recurring defects to drive systemic improvements.
- Drive improvements in automation coverage and continuous testing in CI/CD.
- Assess release quality and escalate critical risks prior to production deployment.
- Mentor quality engineers and raise testing capability across the chapter.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and compliance teams to embed quality across the lifecycle.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in quality engineering, including ownership of test strategy and automation frameworks.
- Proven experience running external certification with payment schemes or a financial regulator.
- Strong automation background (Selenium, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, or similar) plus performance testing.
- Payments domain knowledge, including ISO 8583/20022, EMV, and settlement/reconciliation flows
- Professional Certificates.
Skills Required
