Job Description:

Sherpany by Datasite is the leading Swiss meeting management solution, designed to meet the unique needs of the board, board committee, and executive meetings. Our solution streamlines the entire meeting process to make meetings more productive and thus enhancing company performance. Our customers include well-known medium to large companies in all industries, such as Axpo, Raiffeisen Bank and Calida Group. More than 400 companies already use Sherpany.

What you will be doing:
The Expert AI Engineer is a fearless technical leader responsible for keeping Sherpany at the bleeding edge of AI. You will act fast, build rapidly and make bold technical decisions that shape our future. You are not just building features, you are proving what is possible, influencing stakeholders, and driving the technical evolution required to edge the competition. You will:

• Identify emerging AI technologies that offer a competitive advantage and immediately build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate them

• Act fast to test bold ideas, whether it's swapping our inference engine or deploying a new agent framework, and prove their value with data

• Make high-stakes technical decisions with limited information and stand by them, guiding the team through ambiguity

• Continuously challenge the current tech stack (Django/Celery/vLLM) to ensure it is not holding us back

• Partner with C-level and Product leadership to shape the company strategy based on technical foresight

• Influence the entire engineering organization to adopt new standards and technologies that you have vette

• Mentor Senior engineers on how to navigate technical uncertainty and make decisive architectural choices

What we will love about you:

• You have deep expertise in Python ecosystems, but willing to tear down existing Django/Celery patterns if they block innovation

• Proven ability to architect and deploy complex systems like RAG, AI agents, or fine-tuning pipelines in production

• You understand the limits of hardware and know how to squeeze performance out of vLLM or Kubernetes to gain a speed advantage

• You prefer building a rough prototype today over writing a perfect design doc next week

• You are not afraid to make bold statements or challenge senior stakeholders when you believe there is a better technical path

• You see where the AI market is going in 12-24 months and position the tech stack to be ready
