Electroswitch is seeking experienced Platers to join our manufacturing team in Rockland, MA. Opportunities are available on both 1st and 2nd shift.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial plating experience. Candidates must have direct experience performing electroplating or metal finishing operations. Experience does not need to be specifically with zinc plating.
We are seeking experienced professionals with backgrounds in processes such as barrel plating, rack plating, nickel plating, chrome plating, copper plating, tin plating, electroless nickel, or other industrial electroplating/metal finishing processes.
This is a hands-on production role working directly with plating equipment, plating tanks, chemical solutions, and manufactured components.
Responsibilities:
- Perform barrel and/or rack plating operations
- Set up and operate plating equipment and related production equipment
- Monitor plating tanks, chemical concentrations, and operating conditions
- Make chemical additions and adjustments as required
- Load, unload, rack, dip, and process parts through plating operations
- Inspect finished parts for plating thickness, coverage, appearance, and overall quality
- Follow established plating specifications and process requirements
- Maintain accurate plating, production, and chemical logs
- Safely handle acids, plating chemicals, and other hazardous materials
- Follow all environmental, safety, PPE, and chemical-handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support additional plating and manufacturing operations as required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial plating/electroplating experience
- Direct experience with barrel plating, rack plating, or comparable industrial plating processes
- Experience working with plating tanks, chemical solutions, and hazardous chemicals
- Ability to monitor and make appropriate additions or adjustments to plating solutions
- Understanding of plating quality requirements and inspection methods
- Ability to follow written process specifications, safety procedures, and production documentation
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform the physical requirements of the position
Schedule:
- Openings available on 1st and 2nd shift
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
- Saturday morning overtime may be required
- A $2.00/hour shift differential is offered for all 2nd shift hours worked

Skills Required
- Previous plating experience
- Experience working with acids and hazardous chemicals
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow hazardous chemical handling procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Willingness to work 2nd shift, overtime, and mandatory Saturday mornings
- Attend training on 1st shift for approximately one month (or longer depending on experience)
