Job Description Qualifications:
Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Project Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, California.
Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 3:
- Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
- Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
- Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
- Leads programs and integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure focus on program performance, situational awareness, risk and opportunity management.
- Responsible for customer interactions and engagement.
- Manages program Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value, maintain program schedule, and ensure programs are in compliance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Partners with business development and marketing on short and long-term customer strategies and proposals, to keep current business sold and enable new business wins.
- Coordinates across functions on cost and margin improvement, holding team members accountable to commitments and ensuring successful, timely outcomes.
- Focus on lean, continuous, measurable improvement to achieve delivery certainty on high-quality products to customers.
Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 4:
- Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
- Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
- Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
- Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
- Leads programs and integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure focus on program performance, situational awareness, risk and opportunity management
- Responsible for customer interactions and engagement.
- Manages program Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value, maintain program schedule, and ensure programs are in compliance with quality and contractual requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years managing project schedules and managing programs and projects.
- More than 3 years of experience leading cross functional teams.
- Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue, and opportunity management to drive performance.
- More than 3 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners).
- More than 3 years of experience with developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experienced Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience working in the space photovoltaics industry.
- Experience in Operations and/or Production.
Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.
Senior Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.
Relocation:

Summary pay range Experienced Level 3: $93,500 - $126,500
Summary pay range Senior Level 4: $115,600 - $156,400
