Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
  • The set starting wage is $17.45 per hour. This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. This is not a seasonal position.
  • Regularly scheduled for part-time hours to include a combination of weekdays, weeknights, and Saturdays, subject to staffing needs. Occasional Sunday and holiday availability required.
  • Monthly trainings and meetings are required.

What You’ll Do:
  • Engage meaningfully with current and prospective volunteers during food packing sessions, inspiring deeper investment in feeding kids.
  • Create an impactful, mission‑centered volunteer experience by sharing FMSC’s story, providing exceptional hospitality, and inspiring continued engagement. Greet volunteers warmly, answer questions, express genuine appreciation, and reinforce the importance of their service.
  • Invite volunteers to invest in feeding kids through their time, finances, and prayers.
  • Lead a Christian prayer over packaged food and invite volunteers to join.
  • Implement and apply effective, innovative storytelling techniques; tailor messaging to varied audiences and confidently engage and inform large groups.
  • Collaborate with site leadership on duties before and after sessions as assigned. Work with assigned engagement supervisor to develop session presentation plans that include celebrations, milestones, food impact stories, and invitations.
  • Provide end‑of‑session updates to leadership using the designated form, noting key session parameters.
  • Conduct retail and donation transactions on a cash register.
  • Maintain a clean and food-safe facility, which may include doing laundry and cleaning floors, dishes, and bathrooms several times per day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
  • Passionate about FMSC’s Christian mission and living it out in the workplace.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year proven work experience as a public/motivational speaker required.
  • Thrives in a team setting. Able to pitch in, fill in gaps, remain flexible, ask for help, and share responsibilities.
  • Technologically proficient, with the ability to confidently conduct research and communicate through digital platforms; experienced in operating projectors, presentation software, and audio systems..
  • Engaging public speaker skilled in audience-focused storytelling and confident communication with large groups.
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, presenting, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Respect and value FMSC’s volunteers and supporters, varying in beliefs, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Able to walk and stand in intervals up to 6 hours.
  • Able to tolerate consistent exposure to soy (an allergen).
