Position Summary
The Account Support Coordinator manages all aspects of sales orders, serving as the primary communication link between Lake Air Products and our customers for order processing and shipment follow-up. This role supports teamwork across internal teams and helps drive key performance metrics to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfillment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing order status, schedule changes, customer inquiries, complaints, RMAs, and delivery communications to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Partner with Order Entry, Production, Scheduling, and Account Management to align customer requirements, production capacity, inventory availability, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor customer orders and production using ERP reports and planning tools to proactively identify potential issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Build strong customer relationships by proactively communicating lead times, inventory strategies, quality expectations, and cost considerations while managing customer inventory programs, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and consigned inventory.
- Maintain accurate customer records, interactions, performance metrics, and account activity within the CRM and ERP systems.
- Support continuous customer satisfaction by identifying opportunities for process improvements, escalating issues when appropriate, and providing backup support to the Account Management team.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of manufacturing process and scheduling of jobs
- Experience with Microsoft Office in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working in ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Must be a high-paced self-motivator who promotes teamwork among co-workers
- Must have the ability to multi-task and to deal with dynamic problems and variables
- Excellent communications skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred
