The Expeditor must be an expert at prioritization, organization, and communication. The job is a fast-paced environment where you must remain focused and energized when moving multiple tasks through to completion. QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School education or equivalent is required
- Some Planning, Purchasing, or Customer Service experience is preferred in “business to business” activity
- Excellent typing/data processing skills
TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is a must. Familiarity with business management software including MRP2, inventory management, etc. preferred. Representative must show willingness to learn and master our internal Planning and Purchasing computer system
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain delivery information (may utilize on-line vendor access) for sales representatives to process customer quotes
- Expedite past due deliveries from suppliers with priority on products with existing customer requirements and respond to our sales representatives
- Verifies P.O.’s confirmations are processed correctly; ensures P.O.’s requiring special handling are dealt with in a timely manner
- Responds with a sense of urgency to any request or issue and provides information and/or resolution in an expeditious manner to the appropriate people
- Interacts with all suppliers, internal and external customers in a friendly, timely and helpful manner
- Running daily and monthly reports
- Assist with special projects and data entry
- Exhibit time management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to recognize a potential problem and react quickly and effectively
- Display strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must demonstrate strong team and human relation skills, reliability, and trustworthiness
- Must be a proactive and enthusiastic team player
- Punctuality and dependability are crucial

Skills Required
