Job Description

Fabletics is looking for an Executive Strategy Associate - Data & AI

This role is the operational and strategic right hand to the SVP of Data & AI, owning executive narrative, cross-functional coordination, budget management, and strategic insight into where analytics and AI should go next. We’re looking for a high-agency operator with grit, strong judgment, and a zero-to-one mindset: someone who takes ownership, creates structure from ambiguity, and drives work through to an outcome. About a third of the role is hands-on operations, including onboarding and budget management, so this person should be equally energized by making the machine run better and by digging into the data to understand what is working, what is stalling, and where we should invest next.

This role will report to the AI Program Director in direct support of the SVP of Data & AI

What you will do:

Baseline Operations & Budget Ownership (~1/3 of role)

  • Own the administrative onboarding process for new offshore hires: equipment provisioning, account and access setup, and coordination with vendor points of contact.
  • Plan and coordinate offsites, including agenda design and topic selection in partnership with leadership, and coordinate recurring team meetups.
  • Own and proactively maintain the Data & AI budget tracker: monitor spend against plan on an ongoing basis. Build out tooling and automations to make this easier
  • Independently identify and flag budget variances as they emerge, using AI-assisted analysis where it speeds detection, with enough detail (cause, magnitude, trend)

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reports for the organization in support of monitoring budget as well as AI adoption – proactively identify new reporting sources that would improve visibility & operations.
  • Research APIs and partner with data engineering to bring new data sources into the organization, actively scouting for information we should be monitoring and tracking to better understand budget and AI adoption.

AI Adoption & Tooling

  • Own and operate the organization's AI-driven operational tools, for example the agent that proactively notifies teams of their token spend, with technical support available from the AI/engineering team. This is an ownership and iteration role, not a from-scratch engineering build.
  • Actively look for opportunities to apply AI tooling to improve the organization's own operations: budget tracking, reporting production, onboarding administration, and coordination work.
  • Maintain enough technical fluency to read API documentation and submit well-scoped tickets for new data integrations.
  • Track and analyze workforce adoption of AI tools and workflows across the organization, surfacing usage trends and adoption gaps to leadership.

Executive Communications

  • Own the end-to-end production of Monthly Business Review (MBR) updates and executive leadership materials: chase down the underlying data, build the narrative, and produce the final deck.
  • Turn the organization's more advanced AI initiatives, what was built, how it works, and the problem it actually solves, into a story senior leadership can follow and act on without needing the technical background to have built it themselves.
  • Use AI tooling to accelerate data-gathering and first-draft production, while retaining ownership of the final storytelling and judgment, this is not a hand-off-and-wait role.
  • Hold a high bar for executive materials. Details matter.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Run project management across initiatives that span Data Analytics, AI, and FOS Technology teams: track deliverables, unblock dependencies, and keep workstreams on schedule.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetups and initiatives on behalf of the SVP's office, ensuring the right people are aligned and informed.
  • Own team structure documentation and keep org charts, role definitions, and reporting lines current as the org evolves.
  • Step into ambiguous problems that may not have an obvious owner and help drive them to resolution.

What you can bring:

  • 5+ years in an operations, business operations, chief of staff, or strategy-adjacent role, ideally supporting a data, analytics, or technology organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership audiences
  • High attention to detail, particularly in executive materials, budget data, and AI tool outputs where small errors carry outsized visibility.
  • Project management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Comfort reading API documentation well enough to scope and submit accurate data integration tickets.
  • Proficiency in SQL preferred; experience with snowflake a plus
  • Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Omni, or demonstrated fluency using AI tools to build dashboards and reporting artifacts.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn and operate AI-driven tools and agents; deep technical/ML background not required given available engineering support.
  • Preferred: prior experience in technical or data consulting (Big 4, boutique data/analytics consultancy), a background that bridges enterprise operations and modern data practices tends to succeed in this role.
  • Preferred: experience directly supporting a senior executive in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or executive business partner capacity.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and this person is relied on to bring structure to it.

  • This role will be based in our El Segundo Headquarters.
