Executive – Production
Based at Silueta, Biyagama
To effectively manage and optimize production operations within assigned production modules by ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure on-time delivery while complying with safety and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
Allocate and balance manpower, machinery, and resources effectively across production lines to maximize efficiency.
Monitor production performance, line efficiency, and output, taking corrective action to address deviations from targets.
Communicate daily production requirements, priorities, and delivery commitments to Team Leaders and production teams.
Coordinate with Planning, Cutting, Quality, Maintenance, and other support functions to ensure uninterrupted production flow and timely availability of materials.
Participate in pilot appraisals and pre-production activities to ensure successful execution of new styles and production requirements.
Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate production records, work-in-progress (WIP) controls, and operational reports.
Provide guidance, support, and performance direction to Team Leaders and Production Assistants to achieve operational objectives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, housekeeping, and company operating procedures within the production area.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
Perform additional duties and special assignments as required by management.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Production Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in apparel, textile, or industrial manufacturing operations will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of production planning and control processes.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of production efficiency and performance management techniques.
Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills Required
