Executive Director
About the Role:
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and execution of all community programs and operations. This role oversees resident services, human resources, financial performance, sales and marketing, and census management to ensure the community operates efficiently and effectively. The Executive Director drives strategic initiatives, fosters strong resident and family relationships, and ensures high-quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements across all service lines.
Responsibilities:

  • Policy & Procedure Oversight: Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals. Ensure compliance among staff, residents, visitors, and the public.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Review and update policies annually to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring all licensing requirements are met.

  • Staff Recruitment & Development: Recruit, hire, and train qualified department leaders. Provide guidance on personnel management and oversee staffing decisions.

  • Leadership & Guidance: Provide direct leadership to sales, marketing, and census development teams to achieve or exceed performance goals.

  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for board approval. Ensure accurate financial reporting and submission of required cost reports to government agencies.

  • Equipment & Resource Management: Approve major equipment purchases and allocate resources to support community operations and programs.

  • Departmental Supervision: Maintain oversight of all departments and conduct regular meetings with leadership to review operations and resolve issues.

  • Public Relations: Promote a positive image of the community through marketing and public relations efforts at the local and state level.

  • Staffing Compliance: Ensure appropriate staffing levels with properly trained personnel to consistently meet resident needs.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of resident care information and other sensitive data.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare management, or a related field preferred.

  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or related setting.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Assisted Living Manager Certification (as required by state regulations). Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (if applicable and in the absence of a separate licensed administrator).
