Job Objective
As the lead for RGA’s reinsurance digital product solutions, this role is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and commercialization of our digital underwriting solutions embedded with RGA’s reinsurance offerings. The role ensures our digital products are positioned as core enablers of reinsurance value for targeted clients, supporting RGA’s market-leading position while meeting long-term sustainability, governance, and regulatory requirements.
The role bridges business strategy and execution to maximize the scalable impact of digital solutions across markets, enhance client engagement and underwriting outcomes, and ensure all digital products are designed with strong compliance, data protection, and risk management foundations.
Key Responsibilities
Commercialization & Client Enablement
- Embed RGA’s digital underwriting products into reinsurance solution strategies, positioning as integral components of client-facing reinsurance offerings rather than standalone products.
- Drive commercialization and adoption by aligning product strategy with targeted client segments, business development priorities, and market needs.
- Ensure digital solutions are designed to seamlessly complement reinsurance structures, supporting clients in product launches, underwriting decision-making, and operational transformation.
- Partner closely with Business Development to co-lead client engagements, pitches, onboarding, and solution customization, enabling product launches and long-term client partnerships.
Value Maximization, Scale, and Market Leadership
- Scale and maximize the value of RGA’s digital underwriting solutions by leveraging proprietary platforms and data‑driven capabilities to transform underwriting at scale, strengthening efficiency, consistency, risk management outcomes, and RGA’s market‑leading reinsurance position.
- Own the end-to-end digital product lifecycle, from strategic vision, roadmap development through execution, commercialization, and performance optimization, ensuring measurable business impact and sustainable returns on investment.
- Continuously incorporate market intelligence, client feedback, and performance metrics to refine product, prioritize enhancements that strengthen RGA’s differentiation.
- Act as a thought leader and internal advocate for digital underwriting and reinsurance innovation, influencing strategy and execution, within the organization and across the industry
Governance, Compliance, and Long-Term Sustainability
- Partner with legal, compliance, risk, and information security teams to uphold RGA’s enterprise risk management framework and protect client and policyholder data, embedding compliance, security, and sustainability by design across all digital products.
- Establish strong product governance and lifecycle controls to balance innovation with risk, supporting audit readiness, operational resilience, scalability, and long‑term maintainability.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in project management, consulting, or large‑scale transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience operating at the intersection of commercial strategy, product execution, and enterprise risk management in financial services or insurance industry
- Strong understanding of how digital products optimize carrier workflows, underwriting efficiency, and risk management outcomes.
- Strategic planning and execution experience, including ownership of product roadmaps and delivery governance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical, scalable solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, trade‑offs, and risks effectively.
- Proven leadership capability, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing, collaborative teams.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective change management and customer relationship management capabilities.
