As an Executive Director in the Global AI and Data Policy team, you will oversee and execute our strategy on AI and data policy advocacy in the APAC region. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align our regional strategy with firmwide objectives, engaging with governments and key stakeholders to drive impactful policy initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the firm's strategy on AI and data policy advocacy and engagement.
- Provide leadership and analysis on AI and data policy developments and political dynamics in the region.
- Engage with governments and key policy stakeholders, including ministries and policy coalitions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to inform strategy and advocacy approaches.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs on financial sector regulatory interactions and policy development.
- Contribute to setting a global strategy for AI and data issues.
- Collaborate with internal counterparts to align policy advocacy with business goals.
- Lead education campaigns to enhance understanding among policymakers and regulators.
- Leverage relationships with third parties and trade associations to support policy strategy.
- Ensure consistent messaging and coordination across internal teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in policy advocacy, government relations, or a related role, focusing on AI, data, and technology policy.
- Deep familiarity with policy and political dynamics in the region and major legislative frameworks.
- Strong understanding of AI/data products, governance, and public policy.
- Proven track record of managing strategic relationships with external stakeholders.
- Strong internal stakeholder management experience in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to policy challenges.
- Experience communicating with senior executives and government officials.
- Creative, collegial, and flexible mindset.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong network of leaders across APAC on AI policy issues.
