We are seeking a highly motivated Business Manager to support an investment team. This role combines strategic coordination, project management, and executive support, playing a critical part in enabling the team to effectively deliver for clients and execute on business priorities.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to the team, leveraging strong organizational awareness, business acumen, and project management expertise to drive operational efficiency and support key initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
Business & Team Support
Provide proactive, high-level support to a team of an investment team (Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, and Analysts), enabling them to focus on investment activities and client engagement
Act as a central point of coordination across the team, ensuring alignment on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Support preparation of client materials, presentations, and reporting in partnership with the team
Build strong relationships across internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and execution
Project & Initiative Management
Lead and manage key business initiatives and projects on behalf of the team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Track deliverables, manage timelines, and coordinate across cross-functional partners (e.g., Sales, Product, Operations, Compliance)
Monitor progress against key priorities, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues
Prepare updates, reporting, and dashboards for leadership and team discussions
Support business planning, pipeline tracking, and execution of strategic initiatives
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
Facilitate communication between Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, and internal/external stakeholders
Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups for internal strategy sessions and client-related discussions
Ensure timely follow-up on action items and commitments made by the team
Draft and manage communications, including materials of a sensitive or confidential nature
Operational & Administrative Excellence
Manage complex calendars, meeting logistics, and travel arrangements (including international travel)
Prepare meeting materials, capture key notes, and track decisions and next steps
Maintain organized records, documentation, and reporting tools
Manage expense reporting, billing follow-ups, and related administrative processes
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency
Governance & Reporting
Support preparation of materials for senior leadership, client reviews, and committee meetings
Gather and analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making
Assist with governance, regulatory, and compliance-related requirements as needed
Shared Responsibilities
Partner with administrative teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless support
Contribute to cross-functional projects and broader team initiatives
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
7+ years of experience in business management, executive support, or operations within financial services / asset management
Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Strong understanding of investment teams, client servicing models, or portfolio management environments is an asset

Salary range is expected to be between
$92,475.00 USD - $160,290.00 USDEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
