Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners (WDIP) is a real estate private equity firm that manages capital on behalf of endowments, foundations, pension plans, private funds, insurance companies, family offices, and high net worth individuals. WDIP invests debt and equity capital in value-added, opportunistic, distressed, and special situation transactions through a series of private funds, joint ventures, and separately managed accounts.

The Impact You Will Have

The dynamic nature of this role requires the Executive Assistant to be deeply imbedded in the management of the WDIP platform. The ideal candidate thrives as the 'go-to person,' leveraging their proactive problem-solving, excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong time management abilities to position themselves as an expert support resource. Reporting to the President and working closely with WDIP’s Senior Management Team, they will anticipate, and address team needs to drive business success. By organizing business activities, handling confidential information, and providing comprehensive administrative support, they will ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Expertly organize complex business activities, including meetings, conferences, and departmental events, with a focus on coordinating schedules for the WDIP Senior Management Team.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the WDIP Senior Management Team, ensuring business needs are efficiently met.
  • Prepare a range of business documents, including general correspondence, memos, presentations, demonstrative materials, business plans, and the like; proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout while making appropriate changes.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information while maintaining a high level of discretion.
  • Engage in proactive communication and problem-solving with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other executive assistants and provide cross-functional support as part of the administrative team.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities and duties as assigned in alignment with the evolving needs of the department and the organization.
  • Promote Walker & Dunlop culture, decisions, and policies in all interactions and projects. Represent WDIP Senior Management Team with knowledge and integrity in communications and interactions with guests, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm local time, Monday through Friday, with the option to work remotely for up to two of those days.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have 5 - 7+ years of experience supporting executives in a corporate environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail, judgment, flexibility and dependability. 
  • Strong business sense and ability to prioritize work as well as to find solutions to various problems while prioritizing and managing deadlines. 
  • Interest in or experience with Real Estate Finance. 
  • High level of interpersonal skills and maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information. Position continually requires poise, tact, diplomacy and initiative. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders.

The hourly rate for this position is $40.87 with an estimated yearly salary of $85,000.
